The Optimal Airborne Grease Zone is at the point where the airborne grease has risen but yet to spread. This is the perfect spot to capture the airborne grease before it starts to spread.

Covering Area

Installing the hood too high will let airborne grease to escape and move to other room.

Installing the hood too low will extract too much heat into the range hood causing it to overheat.

23 inches

Under normal circumstances, 23 inches from cooktop to the air inlet is the perfect spot to extract the airborne grease.

How to choose the decorative plate?

Please measure the distance from cooktop to the bottom of the cabinet. (that’s line G on the image)

If the distance is 33.5″, we recommend to purchases a 4″ decorative plate.If the distance is 33.5″ – 36.5″, we recommend to purchases either a 4″ or 6″ decorative plate.If the distance is 36.5″ – 38.5, we recommend to purchases a 6″ decorative plate.
